Bringing a baby into the world is one of the most special and significant moments in your life. At Gosford Private, we want to empower you with the support and knowledge you need to feel confident and prepared for the journey ahead.
We offer parents (as well as support partners and grandparents) a wide range of interactive, informative and social sessions which provide education on your pregnancy, birth and beyond.
These sessions are facilitated by our childbirth educators and midwives and will help build trust and faith in yourself, your body and your individual birthing choices.

Maternity Ward Tours – Visit our Maternity Ward, view our facilities and meet our friendly team (available by appointment).
Meet and Greet with our Maternity Team – Find out what to expect and ask all your questions.
Grandparent's Refresher Morning Tea – A celebration and refresher session for soon-to-be grandparents.
Specialty sessions include:
Birth & Beyond Parenting Program – Our comprehensive antenatal program covering a wide range of topics including pregnancy, labour, baby care and parenting skills. These sessions are offered over five consecutive Wednesday nights, or two consecutive Saturdays (full day).
Preparing for a Caesarean – A one-off session preparing you for Caesarean birth, your recovery and more.
Vaginal Birth After Caesarean (VBAC)Skills – Offering guidance and support on birth planning, preparation skills, breathing and relaxation techniques when preparing for a VBAC.
Strong and Ready:Antenatal Physiotherapy Session – Information and exercises to assist you with labour and birth, run by an experienced women’s health physiotherapist.
Breastfeeding Basics – Everything you need to know to prepare you for breastfeeding your baby, including tips, myths and a Q&A session with our trained Lactation Consultant.
We encourage you to book your physiotherapy session as early as 16 weeks and all other sessions from 26 weeks.
