Private Rooms
We have 15 private rooms available, supporting your rest and recovery.
We have 15 private rooms available within the Maternity Ward, each with its own ensuite, television, free WiFi and breast pumps to assist with feeding.
Will I be in a private or shared room?
Wherever possible, we will try and ensure you are in a private room, however as baby births are unpredictable, on very rare occasions you may need to spend a night in a shared room until a bed in a private room becomes available.
Rooming In
We highly recommend ‘rooming in’ (having your baby in your room during your stay. Research has shown that rooming in provides a number of benefits, including:
- Promoting bonding
- Building confidence in your parenting skills
- Increasing your knowledge of your baby’s behaviour and routine
- Encouraging lactation
- Allowing for breastfeeding on demand
Partner accommodation
We believe your partner should be involved in the parenting experience to give you physical and emotional support, including during the birth itself. We have fold out beds available in each of our private rooms, allowing your partner to stay overnight if they wish. Read more about Your Partner's stay with us.
